Dutch guy living in Berlin - Love reading Horror novels - occasionally known to play Lorcana
I'm currently about halfway through The Buffalo Hunter by
@stephengrahamjones.com
. I've heard great things about it, and so far, it's been a great read as well as a learning experience about American history. The author's decision to tell this story in the form of a horror story works very well.

Just finished the Hunger Games trilogy. I don't usually read young adult novel but I enjoyed this a lot, the ending was quite unexpected and satisfying. Now it's time to get back to some horror π«‘

A Black teenager was accused of stealing a backpack and ended up dying by suicide because he was kept in solitary confinement at Rikers for years. His name is Kalief Browder. He spent over 700 days in solitary confinement AWAITING TRIAL. I guess in racist America thatβs worse than this.

Started reading Mockingjay a couple of days ago, and the amount of time Katniss gets drugged and knocked out for seemingly no reason is getting silly. Like, when she's just slightly upset: 'Give her a sedative.' She's about to cry? A syringe is stabbed into her. She's sad? Knock her out for a day ππ

Found a box of 4 Simon StΓ₯lenhag books in the second-hand section of my favorite bookstore just weeks after learning about him via a video about 'The Electric State'. Feels like fate. The art is stunning, and 'The Labyrinth' has a fascinatingly dark story. Highly recommend!

Always sad to see small publishers go, and even sadder that this is how I discovered them. But I used the sale to snatch up some of the available paperbacks and suggest others to do the same. Only 2 days left!
