Aliens Dark Descent is the only tactics game I've played that's made me feel tense and scared consistently throughout. The thickness of the atmosphere they build is kind of insane, more so considering you have a freely available pause button. It has it's flaws but I still find it quite impressive.

Twitter going out of it's way to keep shooting it’s self in the foot right next to competition that, while not much better as it's functionally doing nothing, Is extremely funny to me.
