Got to session with Kendi for about 3 hours today, was hella fun except for the fact I did everything but what I’ve been learning for the past 6 weeks 🫠🫠

I haven’t really been in touch with the fandom but I’ve heard people are picking up popping, great. I’ve seen a few vids and I immediately wanted to reach out to help. But I’ve always felt like I’m blowing smoke when I do. I hate this inner struggle of wanting to help but it feeling useless.

Been a month since I came here, and finally did my first Hike. The elevation is still getting to me but I still did pretty Decent. Took me an hour to get all the way up there . That wasn’t even the hardest part the group I was with ran down the trail afterwards 3 miles of twist and turns💀.

Had a Jimmy neutron brain blast moment last night listening to my mentor. It’s slowly all coming together and I gotta give credited to my homies I got to watch Out of the Shadows with. Visualizing what I’m learning by seeing others apply it, idk LOL it really just help me “get it” ya know.

About 5 weeks in, and my mentor said he can see me developing nicely. I’ve learned a lot about being funky, and just about dancing in general. Honestly I want to show my improvement but recording sucks and I feel like I just rush it lol. My dance teacher also said I need a dance name 💀💀💀.

3 weeks in 2 big flaws I’m working on. - I try to hit every single time - sometimes I don’t follow through with my movement. Todays practice dimestop and movement.

Took my first funk class today (popping&locking) and I mean this in the nicest way possible. Bro I’m actually just trash LMAO. that’s fine to acknowledge because that tells me it’s up from here. I think I finally found my calling though I don’t just want to be a popper I wanna be a funk dancer.

I’m bad at social media I’m sorry LOL

MFF was an experience for sure. To exchanging with friends and competing in my first dance comp, I can truly say I had a blast. Even if I’m no longer around in the fandom for now, I know others will pick up where I left off. Truly gonna miss this space, and all the people I’ve met.

I’ll try to be a bit active on this for now lol.
