A great day in Falmouth giving a guest lecture on our work in Nepal to undergraduates, postgraduates and staff in the Earth and Environmental Science department.

I was chuffed to be asked to do the lab work for this study during my postdoc. Being published with Neil, who taught me during undergrad in Aberystwyth, is a dream come true! It was also super cool to work with @eisstrom.bsky.social, @matt-peacey.bsky.social, and many co-authors not on Bluesky!

A busy couple of weeks for the Losing their Cool team - we've drilled, cored, installed thermistors & erected an AWS, all at 6500m beneath the Lhotse Face. Been a mixed couple of days here in Nepal. Some stunning weather but the trekking is getting harder. We are now one day from Everest basecamp and starting our work proper. Following that its up to the western Cwm to start drilling @duncanquincey.bsky.social @annvrowan.bsky.social
