David Bentley Hart’s *The Story of Christianity* is a sharp, witty, and thought-provoking take on Church history. With bold insights, he challenges familiar narratives and makes complexity accessible. This was a good read and I plan to use in teaching and writing on church history.

Lent confronts us with mortality—not to lead us to despair, but to open us to hope. To be ‘crucified with Christ’ is to let go of self-preservation and be made alive for others.

This was a great read!
