We have a new stage manager.

Literally all of Florida is done for the semester…except our institution who goes until next Wednesday. We all started the same time.

We are still in hell. I mean in class. It’s Dec 10 and there’s literally no end in sight.

Still feeling like 💩 but it’s the last week of class and week 16 of the semester and I’m just going to pretend everything is awesome. It’s Christmas blazer week!

We have less time off for break than the local school district. And yes, we are a college. And somehow our spring courses need to be published the same day grades are due. Fat chance.

The Florida Furher is now banning and ticketing m license place covers, because let’s just go after all the most ridiculous shit ever rather than more important things.

I will give any student five extra points on their final grade if they make me one of these.

I swear if I get one more email from a student asking when the exam is when it’s been in the syllabus since August…

The key to getting meds for a reoccurring cold is to say you are a musician and have to be ON IT for the next four weeks. Like I’m getting the full blown treatment—nebulizer, steroid shots, etc.

This will require a 12 month contract. Good luck with that. I don’t even have my full schedule for spring yet.

The only way you know this stall is for dudes is when you close the door and squat to pee.

Gotta write a police report today in Holland. I’m going to complete that police report and then put it as a CV line in publications for my FAR. Because that’s how insane this abroad trip has become.

Updating my LEGO White House

Important things I learned the hard way about Dutch culture: you must finish your appetizers fully before they will serve your dinner. Hence my 3+ hour dinner last night.

This is giving me a bad blip of ptsd from marching band season…I had a love-hate relationship with it. I’m so grateful for those students who have now become friends and colleagues.

I have done more conflict mediation with college students this year than I did with middle school band students during my 11 year tenure as a band director.

I want to know Grady Judd’s opinion on Publix allowing open carry. He has been against the decision allowing open carry in this political candidate.

Publix is allowing open carry in stores. Looks like I will never be going there again. “Employees will help to take care of bad situations…” give me a fucking break. You tell me the 65yo woman working at the deli counter is going to disarms a 250 pound irate MAGAT.

Me dealing with students this semester…

My friend and colleague was in Portland all weekend for a wedding and was walking around the city for blocks in the middle of the night. He said people literally stopped to say hi and ask why they were dressed up so nice. Zero violence or danger on the streets. At midnight.

It’s time for a gaudy NO SOLICITING sign on my door. I’m so over all the salespeople. Today I literally had to tell S*ectrum their service is trash and they overcharged me for years so goodbye *slam door shut*. Third person in three months from them.

I was up at 4am and hungry and had to make sure the house was secure and had to massage moms back for two hours and was still hungry and thank God I can snoozle today because it was such a productive morning.
