The (pedagogical) question of how does one ethically engage AI (in the classroom) is sort of like asking how does one ethically engage child labor or burning styrofoam (in the classroom).

I am thinking (and writing) more and more on how unnecessarily embarrassed or indignant folks can be about the word "artificial" in artificial intelligence. As someone in rhetorical studies, I embrace the term. Intelligence, whatever it might be, can only be a function of artifice. 1/
