This morning, index.hr published an article citing Dr David Betz of King's College London predicting civil war in Britain. Within minutes, a friend in Croatia was asking me if they should be worried. Perhaps worth reflecting on responsible use of academic credentials.

British Rowing cleared to redevelop Sherriff’s Boathouse and add a new one at Redgrave Pinsent Lake in Caversham, despite council objections over increased road traffic. Facilities for world-class rowers to be modernised. Will be great to see it in action.

If you don’t yet exercise, strongly consider starting regular indoor rowing. It’s not fun, but: 1. It’s a full body workout, muscle and cardio 2. It can be done in about 20 min/day 3. It’s not so hard to fit a C2 erg in many homes 4. It’s low impact and your chance of injury is low

The difficult fact remains that most air defense systems were designed for an era that made the assumption that no civil traffic would be in flight concurrent to the conflict, & that friendly fire was just a planning problem.
