This is a good one: the 1921 census has a note on it saying that my great-grandfather was trading under another name as a herbalist. He and his wife were also in the electoral register as Duncan Stuart and Ada Fordyce, although their name was Blenkiron. #genealogy #FAN

Just discovered: My great-uncle Duncan Blenkiron was a Lieutenant in the 18th Battalion of the Manchester Regiment that fought in WW1 at the Somme. On 29 Jan 1916 he was captured at Frise near Vaux in France and was a POW till October 2018. #genealogy
