I think society pushes monogamy so heavily that ppl genuinely believe in "one true love" concepts. To such a degree that it warps their concepts of friendship + love. Ppl then expect 1 single person to be able to meet all of their needs. But we're social animals. We're meant to have community.

I've come to realize that friendship for me is like "if we click, I wanna spend lots of time with you and know the real you". But for most others, they're happy with knowing 100s of ppl barely skin deep. If I can't connect with someone about things that actually matter, it feels shallow to me.

It dawned on me the other night that both times I got major injuries while skating I picked up osrs again cuz it's easy to play with 1 hand lol

I see a lot of other ppl with access to white privilege act entitled when a marginalized person doesn't center their feelings during a moment of ignorant behavior being reacted to. If you need someone to be nice to you in order for you to not be a bigot, you're not an ally. Educate yourself.

Showing up authentically will make a lot of people dislike you, sure. It might even cost you existing connections. But, when you show up as yourself, people who will truly love the real you can finally see you too. You can find bonds so meaningful that you'll forget the old ones ever existed. 🩷

My quality of life has noticably increased after no longer tolerating groups or spaces that actively ignore transphobic behavior. You shouldn't have to feel on edge in spaces meant to be welcoming to you. You shouldn't need to ask ppl to stand up for you if they truly do support you.
