Animated trailers are becoming the new "CGI-only trailers" to me. While I love me some beautiful animation, I do find myself more often scrubbing through a trailer that start with animation to see if there is any gameplay. And if there is none, I just don't bother watching the trailer proper.

My work on Rift of the NecroDancer (a big fat thread) 1. Cadence Her design shaped the style of the entire game. I aimed for something slightly exaggerated and easy to colour, drawing inspiration from Ace Attorney and Rhythm Heaven.

#beastieball character design: Marcy Marcy had probably the largest number of outfit concepts. We originally tried to push the "fake pirate" angle, but ended up landing on "high-fashion pirate". I love working in the zone of many layers, so the concepts were endless

(deleted post cause images were so smol...) Game jam sprites for a farming/vampire survivor game. The frog does not shoot as we didn't have time to implement enemy projectiles, so he just stomps with an intimidating weapon.

#Beastieball character design: Callisto The Headmaster's original design was a mix of a scholar, a clown, and space. I have a huge fondness for oversized witch hats, so it was fun creating concepting and incorporating the space theme in various ways. I realize now she's got a Madam Mim vibe lol
