Reminded this week that the best writing tip is to get out and about and talk to people and/or eavesdrop in cafes. I’ve had 2 AHA moments this week where an accidental convo has led to an idea for my MS. Also it means you get good coffee. WIN WIN! These are my wise words (and excellent new shoes)

I’m still really quite fast when I run despite doing nothing to keep fit and when I, inevitably, beat you in the sports day parent’s race I’ll do it in bare feet and pretend it’s a surprise.

When Twitter was dying I was like “ah good now I will reclaim my time, kick the autumn leaves, watch my children’s faces change with every passing day” and then you all came here and put me in a starter pack and that was a fun ten minute daydream. Now let me find more dog with book photos.
