His scathing 1926 painting "Eclipse of the Sun" portrays alliance between feckless political & military leaders and capitalist financiers. Savvas Metaxas has a new entry in his Magnetic Loops series. It gives a flexible sense of stasis, like wandering lost in the fog and not being able to see it coming when you get back to the start. The sounds are dark, but not scary. They give no indication that there's any need to move beyond here.
