2JB @appletonacademy.bsky.social have had a fantastic start to our Ugly Bug Ball Day. We had an Ugly Bug Parade, we performed a minibeast song and dance for year 1. We are also doing minibeast sums, minibeast wristbands and masks, going on a minibeast hunt and writing some minibeast fact files.

I am so proud of our Yr 9 rugby team. We lost to Cockburn in the county Cup but never gave up and our students were praised by their manager for our resilience and efforts. Liam was our player of the day and Declan was our captain.

I am so delighted to say our badminton team won again beating Beckfoot Oakbank and now progress to play Bingley Grammar in the next fixture. We are just one win away from reaching the final game!!! I am so delighted. Lucas and Jenson were our pair of the day and William was the captain.
