I decided yesterday to revisit a very old, abandoned WIP to see if I could revive it. I quickly realised why it was abandoned. Every plot thread that was removed sprouted three more plots in its place 🙄 I now have a Plot Hydra to battle 🤦🏻‍♀️

Just hit 40k on my Nano and have watched the trailer for The Way Home: Season 2 about a billion times. Today is a good day, even if I barely slept last night and am currently puppy-sitting a very boisterous, energetic pup.

NaNo Day 15 - the halfway point: Just hit 26k and haven't reached my total words for the day yet. Despite various setbacks at the start, I'm finally rolling with this thing! Woohoo!

2024 words for my NaNo fic so far. Not bad for day 1 at all. I'm forcing myself to stop there, though, so I can pace myself. Don't want to burn out too soon.

@morganastorm24.bsky.social and I just coined a new term (I think). "The story on which you are/should be working is a WIP. The one you should ignore but on which you want to work is a will-o'-the-WIP."

Can't wait until November 1st to start NaNo! One slight hiccup, though. 2nd and 3rd Nov I'm pup sitting my brother's puppy Margot. Not sure I'll get much writing done in that time as she and my dog Bobby are BFFs and partners in crime 🤦‍♀️
