We welcomed our European grantees to a meetup in London last week, where they presented their work and shared collaboration opportunities. It was great to see such inspiring work happening in the field of wild animal welfare science!

In our booth, we offered different activities around the importance of studying primate behaviour and in particular macaques, how we test their cognitive skills, how they communicate with each other using facial expressions and why they are endangered #plasticpollution

Fantastic work from @elenoraneugebauer.bsky.social and colleagues using interviews, surveys and observations expanding the known habitat range of crested macaques to include the islands of Kasiruta and Halmahera. This has important implications for the species' survival.
