Potatoes (a main ingredient in both the âtraditionalâ Sunday roast and fish & chips) only arrived in the British Isles from South America around the 1580s, & didnât catch on as a popular food until the late 18th century; which is also about the same time curry arrived in the UK

The families and friends of Melvin Cravitz and Adrian Daulby will be sitting shiva in the coming week. In sympathy with them during that time what a powerful thing it would be not to take to the streets but to break bread with our neighbours and help show terrorism will not win.
