33 years ago this morning I was one of six crew rescued from a pirate radio ship off the English coast. I’ll never forget that storm, nor lose my respect for the RNLI and RAF crews that came to our aid. Thankfully we all lived to fight another day.

Mostly lurking, occasionally enthusing about public transport and independent/ pirate radio.

Walking home from polling station in Westmeath, Ireland. I’m pleased to live in a country where we decide issues by referendum. And I’m pleased to be walking and feeling alive after a recent medical interlude.
