I love the miniseries structure. I've rewatched 7 miniseries already this year. And I haven't even gotten to @mikeflanaganfilm.com 's stuff.

I always need space for new books, but I'm basically out of places in my house to put bookshelves. So when I find an odd-shaped bookcase that perfectly fits into a small available space in my house, it's super satisfying.

Sometimes I get irrationally angry at theatre performers. Oh, you're a great actor who can sing AND dance AND play musical instruments? And you're super attractive? Fuck right off.

Just watched a video I took at a concert. (I usually video one verse, or at most one song, but spend the rest of the time in the moment.) Throughout the video you can hear dude near me gushing about what a great song it is. And y'know what? I love that.

I recently replaced all the smoke alarms in my house, and the new ones have a light INSIDE the unit that glows throughout and is much brighter than the small LED on the units I used to have. As someone who needs their bedroom pitch black this is devastating (and unfixable).

I used to write poetry. I thought they were pretty good, but more than that, I enjoyed it. When I was getting my masters in Creative Writing (prose), I showed one to a poetry MFA. He wasn't impressed, and didn't hide it. I haven't written anything since then.

So apparently I have really bad back and neck issues and just never realized it? I thought it was normal to frequently wake up with knots, pain, and limited range of motion from "sleeping wrong." Or to bend over to grab something and have your back seize up. But it's... not?

I like my peaceful life alone in my little house with my two dogs. Even staying a day with my parents and having to hear them moving, talking, chewing, existing; and having them constantly aware of my whereabouts and actions is overwhelming.

I briefly took guitar lessons as a kid—I quit because I didn't know how to answer the repeated question "what kind of music do you like/what kind of songs do you want to learn to play". I wish I could go back in time because I finally have an answer to that question. Acoustic folk rock.

At my physical yesterday my doctor admitted I've tried basically everything for my depression and nothing has worked. His tone was very "man that fucking sucks." And y'know what? I appreciated that.
