#FossilFriday The Uppermost Famennian of Belgium is revealing a flora that was likely well adapted to mires and backswamp ecosystems, in alluvial floodplains. Lycopsid trees and the weird Barinophyton are among these pioneers that floorished in wetland habitats of the Old Red sandstone continent.
