Been a busy week, so I only got one more panel of the new Eva and David comic roughed out. I imagine it's pretty obvious by this point what this comic's gonna be about lol.

It's been a while since Eva and David made their last appearance. Well Eva and David fans rejoice, because they're back with the start of a whole new story arc! Here's a rough sketch of the first page of the first comic to give you a small taste of what's to come.

A lot of people really liked my Ivy fan art, so I decided to give it some colors. I may even do another revision later with cleaned up lines and some shading and stuff. Also I've been enjoying Deadlock a lot and there are so many other characters that would be fun to draw.

Finally got an invite to play Deadlock recently, so I've been playing that this week instead of working on projects lol. Ivy's the main character that caught my eye when the game was announced, and I've mainly been learning the game with her. So here are some Ivy doodles I did.

Finished implementing a new mechanic into the game. Roll can get hit by stuff now! She'll get knocked away dynamically based on the projectile's and her speed and stunned for a second. Surprisingly, getting her little bounce off the floor right was one of the most complicated parts lol.

Got the itch to get back into my Roll game, so I mocked up a little sequence for her getting hit. I don't have any actual animation software on my computer right now, so the motion's pretty rough. But that part will be mostly handled by physics in the game anyway.

I've been getting some more fan art of my characters recently and I always love it when people like my characters enough to want to make their own art of them. I've also got a special folder on my PC for all the fan art I've ever gotten so I can look at them whenever I want 👁️👁️

Been pretty busy this week, but I still wanted to get some art out. I've also been posting only dragon stuff for the past few weeks, so I thought I'd shake things up by sketching an idea I had for my zombie girl Lily recently.

Got my A rank for AT Uth Duna in Monster Hunter Wilds solo on my 2nd try lmao. First try I was just messing around and learning the moves, and my time was still pretty close. AT Uth Duna is SO much kinder to great sword users than AT Rey Dau, which I very much appreciate lol.

Got some free time today, so I'm gonna be playing some Monster Hunter Wilds event quests. If you wanna join in, hop on and send me a message in-game, or post in the squad chat if you're part of the squad.

Been focusing on fleshing out her backstory this week, so I kept it simple with the art. A lot of people really liked this sketch sheet I did, so I cleaned up the line work and added colors and some simple shading.

Finally got her (hopefully) final colors decided, though I may still make tweaks here and there as I go along. I think the deep wine/velvet pinkish red fits her really well. And a lot of people really liked the purple wing membranes, so I worked those in too. What do you think?

Got my solo A rank on the Mizutsune arena challenge in MHWilds. Even though I had to use a weapon I'm not as familiar with (I mained gunlance in Rise, but it's way different in Wilds), it was so much easier than the Rey Dau one. ...Btw look forward to more dragon tomorrow 🐉👀

Had a fun idea with my dragon turning her wings into a dress, and it tied perfectly into an aspect of her character. So I thought I'd take a quick break from working on figuring out her color scheme and make a little sketch page out of it.

More color tests! Definitely a good sign that the audience and myself seem to be pretty well aligned with what we think fits best for her. So here's a more focused set with rough shading added for a better idea of how the colors will look. Same as before, tell me your favorites!

Color tests for the still-yet-to-be-named dragon character. For context, she's supposed to be the "evil queen of monsters"...or at least that's how the humans see her. Though that doesn't necessarily mean she needs to look super evil or menacing. Which ones are your favorites?

After spending a week doing more research, gathering more reference materials, and doing some more experimental sketches, I feel much more confident drawing her now. Still not totally solidified on the design, but I think it's definitely getting there. What do you all think?

I've been making good progress on working through my gift art backlog recently, so I'm gonna reward myself by setting aside some time to FINALLY get more work done on designing my dragon character from last December. So look forward to seeing more of her in the coming weeks 👁️👁️

Here comes another piece of mutual gift art. This one is @nanonebula.bsky.social's ghost gal, Blue! This is another character I've drawn before (also just a cursed joke version). Still, it's pretty neat to see how much some of these characters' designs have evolved since I last drew them.

Finished a full Spyro series retrospective I randomly decided to do. As expected, the original trilogy is still unmatched. Though the Legend of Spyro trilogy surprisingly kinda grew on me, especially the 3rd game. The co-op and cool flying/exploration really elevate it so much.

Was looking through my old art last night, and man, I need to do more stuff with Lina. She's got a lot of potential for fun stuff that I haven't explored too much yet. The unfortunate consequence of having so many OCs all competing for attention lol.

Getting back into doing my gift art for mutuals. This one is @dd-ducc.bsky.social's girl Selryn. The multiple turnaround reference sheets Ducc made for her made this SO much easier, so thanks for that. Also this isn't my first time drawing her, but this is my first non-cursed art of her lol.

Finally got around to playing the little Wonderful 101 spinoff game that released for free alongside the W101 remaster. I thought it was fun enough for a free game, but I was shocked by how unpopular it was. I mean, I get that W101 isn't exactly a household name, but still...

The idea literally came to me in a dream a while back, and I had to make a comic out of it. Also, despite Roll being one of my more popular characters, this is actually her first time getting her own proper comic. Congratulations, Roll! 🎉

Finally accomplished my childhood goal of 100%ing Goldeneye after I stupidly deleted my uncle's 100% file on the cartridge he gave me as a kid. It was pretty challenging and there was a lot of jank, but it was still pretty cool and fun. ‼️Also, the Roll comic's coming tomorrow‼️

Let's gooooo, and I finally got my offsets counted at the end of the hunt this time instead of something dumb like "times switched weapon" or "1 sneak attack" lol. And this run was with only a party of 3 as well.

The Roll comic is nearly complete! Also, after so many years doing digital art, I finally made a custom brush for the first time. There are plenty of good brushes out there for shading hair, but I couldn't find anything I liked for Roll's feathers...so I made my own. It was actually pretty easy!

After several days of solo grinding, I finally got my A rank time against Arch Tempered Rey Dau in MH Wilds. It feels like he counters greatsword specifically with his crazy mobility and aftershocks after almost every attack, so it was was an uphill battle, but I figured it out.

Decided to try doing the AT Rey Dau challenge solo to see how well I could do. After playing my heart out, I had him on the ropes at 10 minutes, well under the gold time. I go to my nearby tent to resupply and the game SOFTLOCKS. It's so ridiculous, I'm not even upset lmao 💀

Finally got some time to 100% Ena Dream BBQ Ch 1 yesterday. Been a fan of Joel Guerra's stuff for like 7 years or so, and it's only gotten cooler and more unique over the years. Def check out the game if you're into surreal/retro stuff or just real fun animation and vibes. And it's free too!

Going to be starting a playthrough of Wonderful 101 later today to show it off to my friends who've never played it, and I'm so excited. Legit one of the most underappreciated games of all time, so I'm always happy to spread the good word.

Wonderful news! Eva's finally managed to settle her unfinished business and pass on to the other side! But it turns out the whole reincarnation idea was the correct one all along. So Eva's back and better than ever, and ready for many more adventures!
