Someone should write posts from an alternate, happier time line to remind us things don’t have to be this way, and it IS possible to co-create a world where everyone (and the natural world) thrives.

I’ve only bought one thing that was locked up, and only because it was something my sick kid needed ASAP. Any time I see locked up products, I decide I don’t need them right then. If I actually need them at some point, I buy from a place that doesn’t lock them up. Often, I never bother buying them.

The policy at issue here is incredibly vague and depends entirely on subjective evaluations of “controversial” issues. For many of us, it’s not controversial at all to acknowledge the factual existence of various kinds of people and to foster respect and dignity for everyone. It’s actually normal.

My cat met a human baby for the first time today. It was hilarious! First, Comet got all floofed up and stared intently at the baby. He cautiously crept toward the baby, as if he were stalking prey, and slowly rose up to sniff the baby‘s foot.

I’m really loving how inclusive the conversations are on Duolingo. I just listened to a dialogue between two elderly men talking about the song that played on their first date 30 years ago. And then one man asked the other to dance. 🥰

Last night I dreamt about trying to get a cassette tape cover back into the cassette tape case. No idea why. And when I woke up, I realized that’s a random dream my children will never have. 🤣

I said “that’s a good rule of thumb” to my kid. And then I wondered when and how I learned that phrase … and learned it so well, that, despite me not knowing where it came from and what it originally referred to, I still randomly retrieve it from my brain to say and to mean “that’s a wise practice.”

Whatever subjects you know and care about, please talk about them in digital spaces. We’re inundated with misinformation partly because the people peddling it on social media far outnumber those with real expertise sharing their knowledge.

My kitty put his paw on my face for the first time ever this morning. 😻 He has discovered a way to make me fall in love with him even more.

I downloaded Duolingo two months ago to crash learn Portuguese before a trip. My kid liked the gamification, so I bought the family plan & also added my partner and my 72-year-old dad. Now we’re all doing at least some language everyday, and my dad is absolutely loving it. 🥰
