Want to understand what the level design in Shinobi: AoV is doing on a granular level. On the surface it's just lots of room-unlocks that has you darting back and forth slowly filling out the map, but without a VERY good plan I can easily see how in attempting this you paint yourself into a corner.

Probably the big reason I’m not prepping updates for here much is just the ROI is sooo low. Few hours to create a little video = handful of likes. Obviously I need to figure out a whole new marketing approach because the game LOOKS abandoned but it is very much cooking with gas on the dev side 🤔

There is one thing about #silksong that actually feels very generous - are the enemy hitboxes (the colliders you hit to damage them) a little extra-big and the hurt boxes (the colliders that damage you) a little small? (1/2)

Prince of Persia the Lost Crown is one of the best video games I have ever played. I'm late to the party 'cause I just wasn't hyped, and don't love 2.5D. But come on. The player ability progression is so original, and all the weird stuff ACTUALLY GETS USED and rules. Level design out of this world.

My dream feature for @aseprite.org would be a single-click toggle between animation timeline and spritesheet. So that the sheet is more of a “view” than a separately exported file. I feel like it would change so much about my sprite workflow!

Likely folks won’t see this but just have to celebrate- had my first solid 8hr game dev day in a looong time. SM accounts are way behind in terms of what’s been shown, so I can’t wait to catch y’all up on the huge amounts of progress we’ve had in recent months!

Sure I’ll find the silver lining soon, but this is pure heartbreak. Earthblade inspired me to seriously dive into gameDev, and every time I’d hit a wall, I could solve it by watching their trailer, which I did many, many times. I wish them the best, but I’m gonna be mourning this for a bit.
