Nintendo Switch 2 info is HYPE. Much more excited than I thought I would be! Graphically it's not much of a jump so far, but performance is going to be a BIG factor here. 30FPS and below just doesn't cut it anymore, so 60-120FPS sounds like a dream. What did you think?

Just got passed Gold Saucer in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. I go so quickly from "this game is good", to "it might be brilliant", and "they went too far" at a rapid rate. It sounds like what people describe the Yakuza series as with the tonal whiplash.

Yoooo Lies of P was really fun. A fairly linear soulslike, but the combat, music and overall vibe really did it for me. I loved blade and handle swapping to create custom weapons. Using an axe blade with a rapier handle isn't practical, but it's fun to mess with 🤪

Finished watching Naruto. My gosh what an anime! The growth and bond of the characters is so heartfelt. Naruto's empathy for villains and friends alike is so beautiful, even when they put him through emotional hell. Now I'm 15 episodes into Boruto! Guess I'm hooked 🍜

Just beat Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 after many years. The sequel gameplay is a massive jump, but I much preferred the whole story, vibe, presentation, and acting in MGS1. MGS2 still has a place since it sets up future entries. I'm hoping MGS3 holds up as much as I remember.

Been slowly progressing in Death Stranding over the last couple of months, and I'm finally in the endgame. At times a struggle, but ultimately a rewarding and immersive experience. Hideo Kojima should be proud of helping to create another unique world and narrative.

Just started Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door (Switch). SO much love put into the presentation and music it's insane. But as someone who played the original, the framerate cheapens it. It's consistent 30fps, but I miss the buttery smooth 60fps that made each action satisfying.

I upload Shorts to YouTube, it uploads fine. I upload the same video to TikTok, it permanently zooms in even when it was properly sized before hitting Upload. As far as I'm aware, they are supposed to be the same resolution. So why is TikTok doing this?

I went through Resident Evil Outbreak File#1 with a couple of friends last night, a game I never got to experience online. It's actually pretty fun! It's a little stiff and janky, but with the right group of people, it's classic RE. Almost felt like an escape room.

Streaming Palworld last night was a good time, but I think 10 hours in the magic is wearing a little thin. It's not a bad game, but I think that crafting exhausts me in a lot of similar games. But playing with friends is still enjoyable, and catching Pals is my favorite part.

I beat my first Dragon Quest! Dragon Quest XI is one heck of a good game. It's commitment to the turn based formula makes for a beautiful game grounded in familiarity, but with enough quality of life to feel fresh. I would love to go through it again, but it's loooong!
