I wonder needlessly at the comforts of other bugs. Often those beneath the Citadel wear little more than rags to keep them from the chilled frosts up above, warmed instead by toil and the pools of fire below. Those who live within the great structure itself, too, rarely fare any better.

Please, don't give up. I want you to keep living for both of us.

Too short has my respite been, spent idle amongst family and friendly faces. I can delay the tasks asked of me no longer, tomorrow I seek again Songclave for its weary survivors in need of supplies no simple courier can deliver safely. The roads between grow thick with beasts enraged and desperate.

Too many substances belonging to this kingdom are disagreeable to the common bug. Already I have been made to confiscate mossberries and the purple blooms of Shellwood from my sibling, though it seems mercifully immune to the effects of both.

In a few days’ time, a new bellhome will be raised, larger than most. The cost in rosaries is of no consequence to me. This was a goal held long in mind.

In time scarcely passed, circumstances for me and especially my sibling have improved beyond measure. The time may at last be that I can show it safely to Bellhart with minimal worry. I will travel there first, and see to it that the good bugs of the location know it’s of no threat to their lives.

The tasks which have demanded my attention in Pharloom this time draw to a steady close. Rarely is my patience tested so, though I do not resent their requests.

The conversations of days recently passed have inspired me to contact the good bugs of the docks. Their terminal is holding steady, so they would ask of me craftmetals for reinforced warding bells in exchange for a camera module compatible with mine.

@primordinations.bsky.social In this kingdom, the tasks are endless, especially for a bug who rarely tires. She scurries from settlement to settlement, tying up loose ends as much as she follows new threads; an exhaustive cycle of hunting, deliveries, gathering supplies, granting wishes.

Again this feeling nags me. It may be time for now to return to Hallownest. I’m long overdue a visit.

Something feels… wrong.

Every day the bugs of this far-flung kingdom raise their voices in a new melody, free from the ones that once plagued them. The gilded halls high above resonate with the sound of their efforts to rebuild, even now. They are a perseverant bunch, admirable in their dedication, I’ll give them that.

The good bugs of the Citadel have aided me in producing a machine for logging information and communicating to those afield. But what a strange thing, allowing me to see the words of those even farther still.
