I had a great time talking with
@zialyle.bsky.social
&
@costasamaras.com
about their new study on how climate change poses risks to U.S. drinking water. Water utilities for roughly a fifth of the U.S. population are at high risk from climate hazards.

Roughly 9.8% of employer businesses were financially impacted by extreme weather in 2022. In some cities like New Orleans, close to 50% were impacted. Why aren't more business leaders calling for stronger adaptation policy???

Everything about this is perfect: a local Dutch water authority (Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden) is still paying €13.61 a year to the bearer of this bond, which was floated to reconstruct a damaged dike in 1624. The bearer is the New York Stock Exchange.
