Snapdragons are annual flowers but if you've never grown them, you may not know they are prolific re-seeders. These are my volunteers this year from the ones I grew from seeds last year. I had no idea what colors I'd get and I am far from disappointed.

I don't usually use the term gentle parenting because I think it has developed a negative connotation recently, but I yearn for more Black girls and boys to have gentle childhoods, to have softer lives, fewer struggles. Because why would you "snatch up" a 2-year-old for fussing?

The Adriana Smith story has triggered me bc of the government's history of using Black bodies for medical experimentation without consent especially Black women's bodies in gynecological research. This is setting a bad precedent that will eviscerate Black women's bodily autonomy.

I had consecutive miscarriages after I had my oldest son so a lot of people (wrongly) assume I had interventions to conceive my twins. I get so many questions about Clomid, Letrozole, IVF, etc. and they're always so gagged when I tell them IDK because my twins were spontaneous.

Guys. I'm walking around school taking pictures with a disposable camera and after I took a picture of a group of girls, one of them goes, "Can I see it?" I said, "The picture?" She said, "Yeah." I said, "Oh, honey, no." 🤣😭😂

One of the things I've learned since becoming a mom and making mom friends is there are more women than I could've imagined who had a baby because they like babies and literally did not consider what parenting would look like after the first year.

The neighbor girl told my son that Justin Bieber was looking for his drone out in the woods when Katy Perry's rocket blasted off and a piece of the rocket hit his arm and he got lost because he was injured and he's still lost in the woods today a month later.

Lol at being a twin mom because I don't think I have any pictures with me holding a single baby until they became independently mobile.

I fully concede this may change as my kids get older but as it stands right now I am not a "Because I said so" mom. They want to know why? I tell them because it wasn't arbitrary and they deserve to see the process of rational and reasonable decision-making.
