Well we made it through the first Thanksgiving without my dad. Only one breakdown by my mom so I guess that’s something. Now off to help my mom decorate — so I’m anticipating there will be more. Helping someone else navigate their grief is hard while doing it yourself. 🥹

Mashed potatoes are gone. (And in my mind, stuffing becomes dressing and that brown gravy becomes giblet gravy.)

I hate cleaning my house. Perhaps if I did it more often, it would be less onerous? I’ll probably never know.

Happy to dress nicer — if the airlines agree not to pack us in like sardines; have free checked baggage so people don’t bring everything they own onboard; and offer food beyond a mini bag of chips. Deal?

Went to my first All Saints service at my parents’ church because my dad was being remembered. It was very nice. But also odd to be in such a service in a Baptist church — with acolytes and everything! To be clear, this church is Cooperative Baptist not Southern Baptist I grew up in. But still.

Once again, the GA access website for ACA plans that Brine Kemp set up SUCKS. It is so unuser friendly. The cover banner says I can look at plans now. But when I click on it, it goes to my account which says I can’t shop until 11/1. 😩
