Has anyone written a good faith argument on why Mamdani would be a terrible mayor? I’m highly skeptical of his most prominent policies, but not to the point where I think he must be stopped at all costs. I just don’t get why the billionaires are freaking out so much.

The thing is I don’t even like Mamdani that much, but watching every slimeball in the world line up behind Cuomo has negatively polarized me into a supporter. His heart’s in the right place, he seems nice, and I like that he usually wears a suit.

All throughout high school my brother and I listened to the weirdest, noisiest music we could get our hands on like John Zorn, Sun Ra, Boredoms, and Melt Banana. One day I was listening to Loser by Beck and my dad walks in and says “that’s the weirdest song I’ve ever heard”.

Anyone who tells you the Patagonia Picnic Table Effect isn’t real is wrong. I stopped there for 10 minutes and immediately got my lifer Western Flycatcher. They’re not rare there, but I could feel the picnic table telling me which way to look. 🪶
