I’m blown away by how ahead of its time Super Metroid was back in 1994. It was committed to environmental storytelling, atmosphere, and unconventional design approaches meant to surprise the player in a way that I think hasn’t been fully explored in the industry until the boom of indie titles.

I thought this site would've been better for growth, especially compared to the wasteland. But I've gotten nothing from it. Am I using it wrong?

On a new music kick at the moment, and I came across a band called Wild Party, and they have some absolute jams. "Life's Too Short" is my current obsession.

Maybe I'm too old school, but I HATE seeing creators holding their lapel mics in their hands instead of attaching it to their person.

We went to a restaurant/arcade last night. One of the machines had a prize of a large stuffed Cat Luigi. The game was one of those where you have to cut the string to open the door. After 6 tries, I asked my wife to do it because I know she has better depth perception and a competitive spirit.

I feel so burnt out with everything. I don't have a creative spark. I have no energy for most things.

I made myself a serving of overnight oats last night to enjoy this morning. The recipe called for oats, yogurt, milk, honey, cocoa powder, and coffee. I followed the recipe to the T. And it tastes HORRIBLE.

Hey, my pals dropped a new episode!

I've seen more Nancy comics in the last few months than I have in my entire life. I'm not sure why - I've never once searched for them, liked them, followed, etc. Have Nancy comics genuinely made anyone laugh?

I had a Blue Bird account for such a long time, and I feel like the time has come to retire it. I used it for jokes and silliness, but the platform has changed into yelling about politics and engagement farming, and I'm not interested. I've taken the last week-ish off and it's been refreshing.

Band Aid delivered what is without a doubt the worst Christmas song ever conceived. The gist of it: Everything sucks in Africa because they have no Christmas. There's a line that Bono sings that is one of the worst ever written. "Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you." Awful.

My plan is to come back to recording material starting next year. I'm enjoying time with my family and adjusting to having a newborn in the house again.
