I love the idea that Barba from AoL was a descendant/reincarnation of Volvagia. The encyclopedia hints they may be the same creature! Comparing his in-game sprite, it makes sense. The weird thing is the concept art for Barba which looks nothing like Volvagia, and barely looks like Barba!

Linebeck is a seriously underappreciated character. I attribute it to Phantom Hourglass being underplayed and somewhat disliked by a lot of Zelda fans, but of the "companion" characters, Linebeck is surely one of the best. I appreciate his humour, and I always love the "redeemed coward" trope.
