Planted olive trees today in Betlehem, the Occupied West Bank, to support the Palestinian farmers and in solidarity with the communities who suffer constant attacks by settlers and the IDF.

This morning in Nablus, the Occupied West Bank, we stood in solidarity with Palestinian farmers, planting olive trees—a symbol of resilience and deep-rooted connection to the land. Suffering violence by criminal settlers, their endurance is a reminder of the urgent need for justice and solidarity.

A question to my Joycean/Modernist colleagues: when H.G. Wells say that "Like Swift and another living Irish writer, Mr. Joyce has a cloacal obsession", who is the other "living Irish writer"? Apologies if the answer is obvious and I am exposing my ignorance.

Guilt, Glory, and Guinness: A Poem Guilt lingers, thick as foam. Glory flares, too bright to hold. Guinness swirls, velvet-smooth, a liquid hug, the soul to soothe. Three Gs - two in the book, one in the glass I took.

Criminal settlers uprooted all the trees we planted. How sad, how evil. Now on my way to Ramallah to plant more trees in solidarity with the Palestinian farmers.

Planting trees is hard. But we planted about 50 trees today, out of the 1000 that we plan to plant in this campaign. I planted 4. And I met a nice donkey that wouldn't take a selfie with me.

I joined Rabbis for Human Rights in the Occupied West Bank to help the Palestinian communities plant olive trees. Criminal Jewish settlers often uproot trees to hurt the Palestinian fatmers' livelihood. So we come to show solidarity and help with whatever we can.

Since the government sanctions the Palestinian flag in public, we started holding up pictures of watermelon. But because Israel is a vibrant democracy, the police now also bans images of watermelons.

My dear Wakean friends! Do you think Thornton Wilder is right to assume that "This is the three lipoleum boyne grouching down in the living detch" is an allusion to the Marx Brothers? Or, even better, is there any evidence to support this?

The olive tree symbolizes the Palestinian farmers' connection to this land that nothing and no one can change. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to spend the morning in Palestine. And a shout out to Rabbis for Human Rights for making many days like this happen.
