I’m in a tent, melting from the heat, with no energy because there’s barely any food. I had to evacuate and I don’t know what comes next. Just trying to hold on.

It’s been two weeks and I still wake up in the middle of the night thinking the roof is collapsing. My body jumps before my mind catches up. We’re not just hungry. We’re not just displaced. We’re shattered. Gaza is being broken piece by piece. So are we. Please don’t look away.

Finally found a burger in Gaza. $50 later, I’m questioning all my life choices. Inflation here is no joke…but hey, at least it came with fries 😩

Many of us have to rely on cooking with fire and wood because gas has been inaccessible. My mom is often tired when cooking this way. The smell of smoke can be unbearable especially when breathing it all day. On this day, We cooked from 10 am to 7 pm leaving our clothes smelling like smoke 😣

Iced coffee with friends, surrounded by rubble. The ceasefire makes things feel normal for a second, but the destruction and the memories aren’t going anywhere. We’re just trying to hold on to pieces of what life used to be.

I officially graduated, finishing with an A. It’s been a difficult journey, but every struggle was worth it. Thank you to everyone who believed in me and supported me along the way. This is just the beginning.

Food was already scarce and expensive, and now with aid blocked, I don’t know how we’ll survive. My nieces and nephews deserve a chance to heal and live without fear. It’s heartbreaking to see them go through this.

I watch my nieces and nephews laugh over small joys, even in the hardest moments. Their resilience amazes me, but I wish they didn’t have to be so strong. My only wish is to see them grow up in safety, away from all this.

My cat, the survivor of the war, spent four months alone in a conflict zone, fighting to stay alive. When I returned to the area, I found her to be the only living creature left in the devastated place 🐈🇵🇸💕 She’s a real warrior right?

Every time the war exhausts us, illness comes to break what little strength we have left. Here, we inherit pain just as we inherit our names. This is life in Gaza.
