From the Vault. Surfer Friend - Wellfleet, MA 2015 The trouble with Cape Cod in August, the heat brings in the west wind which blows off the layer of warm water. So the water is freezing and the beach is 85 degrees F. It's good to get out of the wetsuit, warm up and dry off.

On the road to Asuchillo -Nicaragua - 2015 On our first visit to Nica the surf was pretty small, we'd get to the beach early to miss the heat during mid-day. Air temp was 85-90 F, water temp was high 80's. Bit of a shock to your system after leaving frozen New England!
