A Monstrous Little Suite premieres tonight in Cardiff and it’s sounding glorious! It’s been so long since the opera premiered back in 2019 and it’s delicious to be back in the world of Norse Gods! It’ll be on Radio 3 in Concert if you want to catch it!

It’s so nice to be back with BBC National Orchestra of Wales after all this time (nearly a year!) with Ryan Bancroft at the helm for the premiere of my A Monstrous Little Suite. Hope to see you there on Friday (Cardiff) or Saturday (Swansea) - it’s sounding very classy!

I want all young composers to know that rejection is the norm. I reckon 85% of my ideas never come to fruition because I can’t engage an orchestra, soloist, festival, commissioner, funding body etc. It’s exhausting, but keep going. Don’t give up! It’s their loss, not yours!
