#PitchDis day 20! i love how unabashedly emotional i let everyone in HTCH be. i’ve always been drawn to Men Who Cry, and it means a lot to me to provide positive and nuanced portrayals of masculinity, whether that’s emotions shown between romantic partners or family members or close friends

#PitchDis day 19! knee-jerk reaction: nathan would feel a visceral and un-teaseable connection to batman/bruce wayne. lawrence would try to rope him into a more “highbrow” costume, but nathan alone would don the cape + mask without a question

#PitchDis day 18! honestly, i don’t have a preference! i’ve spent a lot of time both living with a lot of people & thus impossible to get alone time and now live by myself & thus have perhaps too much alone time, but i don’t think i come down on one side or the other

reading a book on queer US history and it’s very good and insightful but i did turn the page and this chapter title took me out

#PitchDis day 10! famously i got some key images of HTCH from a dream, but it really came together when i heard a podcast series on the historical Barker-Karpis gang and started thinking of how a family of criminals could turn out, and i managed to tie in my own past with music + eyesight

#PitchDis day 9! fell behind a lil- sadly there are no pets in HTCH, but i recently made the decision to give a character in B&W (HTCH’s sibling book) a pet cat and it’s been delightful to play with. animal/human relationships are so different from interpersonal ones!
