People understand that paying taxes means supporting quality healthcare, education, transportation & energy infrastructure, right? right…? right……? And that arbitrarily cutting taxes to appease a short term political gotcha moment, ultimately undermines collective public good & stability……right…..?

Cross boarder worker solidarity is a very powerful move right now. What does it look like to support labour in this moment rather than pitting workers against each other? Unity over division is where power lies for the public to uphold public well-being.

If my feelings were a picture.

In times when those in power wielded their power to abuse and oppress, that is when it is critical for collective commitment to resistance and care-based solidarities. Commit to care, dignity, kindness and equitable investments in shared public goods. This is important work we can do together.

I think this is a beautiful fact of existence. Our experience as part of this earth is a rare moment of complexity in a sea of lifeless cosmos. Cherishing, celebrating & stewarding this 🌎 with care & dignity for every possible moment, is an act of courage & shared purpose amid destructive forces.

What fascinates me is how the fossil fuel defending right wing has captured a wide swath of health focused groups to support right wing agendas. The two “seem” incompatible given one is seeking health & the other unencumbered fossil fuel expansion—thus magnified pollutions.
