I was really agitated yesterday and it took me a long time to realize it was because nothing was particularly wrong. Nothing was wrong and I wasn’t being actively bothered by something… What the fuck has this world done to my nervous system?

I’m losing the will not to force my family to explain why they did this directly to me, my best friends, & the world & detail the exact amount of satisfaction received; undoubtedly allowing them to reciprocally shun me. My brain doesn’t get to turn empathy off. It must be so peaceful to not care.

Sitting next to my husband at a coffee shop, me knitting & him reading; each with our own headphones on, just vibing. Suddenly I’m staring at my knitting & interrupt him to say “I want to paint with knitting…” 0 artistic skills but now HAVE to try this. Another way to disappoint myself. Goodie 🙄

9am and I already know I should’ve ordered decaf this morning. My mother will be at my home when I get back from my appointment. This is going to be a very long day.

Living with my husband’s cat is like having a perpetual toddler screaming inconsolably every night and then dealing with a teenager during the rest of the day. Every night. Every day. For the rest of his lifespan. I’m never not tired.

Stayed up until 5am to finish the first puzzle filming, mainly because this was one of the worst tactile puzzle experiences I’ve had; so I could not face waking up to it. 2.5 hrs of sleep. I refuse to lose today to burnout though. I need the weekend to start with a positive. Just once. Please.

So I’m obsessed with my idea of all of the simulation game indie devs getting together to make one massive game. Crime-scene Cleaner finishing up a job, then someone from House Flipper comes in to try to sell it but needs to hire Phasmo specialists to “clear it” of ghosts for the buyers.

I have just spent 9 hours literally in a closet to set up the filming of doing jigsaw puzzles. That was the most painful, brain-breaking exercise of patience so far this year; all to achieve recording myself doing a nerd-ass hobby to heavy metal music. Fuck I’m weird.

Ending day 2 of a sick/pressure headache that has so far consumed every part of the days my husband took off for our anniversary. The only consolation I have gotten is beating him to completing ascension 20 with two characters in Slay the Spire. Steadily working my way to the third. Can’t catch me.

I so badly wanted to make a cup of black coffee at 7:30pm. Then I remembered I’m almost 35 and I have a chiro appointment I have to drive myself to in the morning. I’m now knitting in bed with a cup of cherry juice for the melatonin and feeling very down about it all.

I don’t enjoy watching anything as much as hockey. Until my team gets in their own damn way via a clumsy oaf unable to stick block without fouling. Then, all my corked rage from life spews out like a roided Tasmanian Devil that my husband has to try to grab by the shoulders without getting bitten.

I hate when I intentionally go to the gym almost an hour early to avoid people and somehow they all still show up. Like “no, YOU go at 7:45. I KNOW this.” The universe sends everyone a text “Kit is doing an early day. Time to suit up guys. Make sure to grab all those leg presses!”

I made the mistake of letting my console-gamer husband see how great my Steam Deck is. I barely get to touch it now and he just bought a dock for it that conveniently only runs on MY new tv. I will never be free of Guilty Gear now. Pro tip for marriage: Be more selfish.

My DnD group actually playing more than once every two months is one of my little wishlist items. I’m getting so strung out that I’m starting to look for more podcasts outside of TAZ. They don’t hit the same. Good to fall asleep through at least.
