This Halloween, Spectrum Gaming's Minecraft Build Team worked together to design a series of spooky seasonal updates for our private server! They created immersive, engaging spaces for young people in our community to explore, connect, and have fun.

Online event spotlight: How Dungeons & Dragons 🧙‍♂️🐉 creates opportunities for autistic young people to develop teamwork and creativity, and find new friendships! 2 months ago, one of our Digital Youth Workers launched a new online event: Dungeons and Dragons.

We’re very excited to share that the Barriers to Education website has officially launched: lnkd.in/e5vmcDaQ The website has been created to bring parents, carers and professionals together with practical, compassionate approaches that make a real difference.

Our final Big Meetup Weekend 2025 took place in Manchester a few weeks ago. Many young people who come to our meetup weekends don't access many other face to face activities, and we are privileged to be able to offer a space where they feel comfortable A huge thank you to everyone who joined us!

🏗️ SG's Minecraft Build Team: how autistic young people are creating experiences for other autistic young people to combat social isolation! Our private Minecraft server provides a space for our members to explore virtual worlds with new friends, practice and develop life skills in a safe space 💚

We're visiting some of the resources coproduced by the awesome young people in the SG community 💚 ! First up: Autism and Sleep! Many autistic young people struggle with sleep, but also find that typical "sleep hygiene strategies" often aren't helpful.

On Tuesday, the outside of the SG community centre had a long awaited refresh! 🥳 The building no longer looks like a toyshop and has officially become SGHQ! A huge THANK YOU to anyone who supported our end of year appeal in 2024 and made this transformation possible 💚

How we provide online spaces for autistic young people to express themselves: In the past week, our youth team has held 11 online events, giving young people in the SG community chance to get together over shared interests.

How team builds on #Minecraft can give autistic young people a confidence boost! At SG we have a Minecraft build team made up of young people, volunteers and staff. They come together on a weekly basis to work on a variety of Minecraft projects.

We’re now 6 hours into the marathon! Only another 18 hours to go…! 😅 Thanks to all your support so far we’re inching towards hitting 50% of the fundraising goal - this is incredibly exciting and we’re so grateful to everyone who has donated, shared our links or are watching along 💚

One very very exciting thing that happened this year is that we opened our own community centre! Our ultimate goal is for the centre to be a shining example of what a fully inclusive space can look like for neurodivergent young people with sensory differences.
