I asked yesterday if Canada had strict anti-trust laws that would’ve prevented Valnet to buy Polygon. Now the knowledge that Vox Media firing every union member at Polygon was part of the deal with Valnet has me fuming! This is illegal and cruel. Then again, cruelty is the point of capitalism.

Vox Media just signed a death warrant for Polygon by selling it to Valnet. They should've known that Valnet is just as exploitative as GAMURS Group, and yet they have the audacity to send the site to a slaughterhouse. Does Canada not have any strict anti-trust laws to prevent this shit?
