I have been trying to replace “guys” with “folks” over the last few years, primarily for inclusivity , but also the original derogatory intent. It’s hard to replace “…just some guy” though. Need something inclusive, but still maintains the hint of derogatory intent.

Fred the Cat usually gets a little bit of cheese as a treat when I make a sandwich for lunch. I’m low on sandwich supplies so I’m having other things for lunch, but carving some cheese special for Fred like it’s prime rib at a brunch buffet.

This should probably be a message for a lot of folks, about how much he cares about them and what they have given up in the hope that he does.

Fleece pants and hoodie weather!!!!

If I hit the Powerball, I don’t think I’d change much. Probably build a cabin somewhere. Do some home renovations. But I will absolutely start treating hoodies like they are disposable. Washing a hoodie just takes the fluffy coziness right out of it.

I like to think the ultimate “Dad Skill” is the strategic timing of when to open and close windows throughout the house during the day to maintain optimal indoor temperature in the “shoulder seasons” without use of the HVAC.
