As with each release of @efifoundation.org's Annual Report, I’ve shared some thoughts to introduce the report. This year, I reflect on 10 years of our existence as an organization -

It has been an eventful year in energy policy, with political uncertainty for investment and innovation. Our 2025 Annual Report shows how we navigated this environment. The times have been challenging, and I am extremely proud of the team at @efifoundation.org.

Congratulations to Melanie Kenderdine, the Women’s Council on Energy and the Environment 2025 Woman of the Year, from all her friends at the @EFIFoundation. Melanie's contributions to clean energy and innovation throughout her career make her most deserving of this recognition.

Low-carbon markets continue to develop at varying paces, emphasizing the need to accurately track and measure carbon emissions. By synthesizing financial accounting principles and carbon mass engineering fundamentals, @efifoundation.org has put forward a ledger-based carbon accounting system.

“If we can address both legacy and current emissions, we are way ahead of the game.” In a recent interview with @climategroup.bsky.social, @efifoundation.org Founder and CEO @ernestmoniz.bsky.social discusses the missing piece in mitigation strategies & importance of continued innovation.

Energy innovation isn’t always about big breakthroughs, it’s also about steady improvements that cut costs and expand access. Thank you, @climategroup.bsky.social, for hosting these important conversations this week in New York.

Now more than ever, the DOE should support end-to-end innovation to address energy demand. Building a staff that boosts U.S. competitiveness in the energy sector is the answer. @efifoundation.org's policy brief analyzes the impact of staffing cuts on DOE’s support of American energy innovation.

It was a pleasure to join Fox Business and discuss innovative nuclear solutions like Terrestrial Energy’s Integral Molten Salt Reactor. This reactor model uses molten salt as a coolant to reach higher heat levels, a critical step towards meeting rising energy demand. Watch here:
