I don’t think we should eliminate golf courses for the sake of the environment I just think we should let the environment take over the existing courses and make golfers use the new wild courses, all obstacles included.

I wouldn't say I *love* it, but I very much appreciate the drab looking Boehmeria cylindrica, smallspike false nettle, as it's the host plant for numerous butterflies/moths, including the eastern comma, the question mark, and the red admiral. And it's a #nativeplant of New England!

Just added to the shop: Symplocarpus foetidus, the eastern skunk cabbage. I have a few 1-2 year old seedlings potted up so far (photo of seedlings in the post). If there's enough demand for it, I'll add more, so no worries if it sells out. These rival any hostas and grow in sun/shade #NativePlants

Good stuff, but lemme add my own, in order from highest to lowest effectiveness: - Bt (Mosquito Bits/Dunks) - A layer of vermiculite or sand on top - keep a fan going - yellow sticky traps Be especially vigilant when you bring plants in that have been outdoors for a while!

I've been spammy this morning, but! Time for another #nativeplantnursery scrum lol: Today's task is JUST going to be ⬜️ Continue overwintered plant "unboxing" and cleaning I was completely wiped out by doing that yesterday, so I'm trying to stay within my limitations 🤣

All right, I promised "unboxing" pics of my overwintered #nativeplants. Let's see what has survived and what needs TLC! 🧵 First of all: these were overwintered on the ground, covered in leaves/pine needles, under heavy-duty row cover. This is to avoid large temp swings.

Why yes, Lise, you DO have an allergy to mold, and you were digging around in wet leaves and dirt yesterday. So yes, your eyes are puffy and gritty today and your nose congested. Maybe wear a mask next time, like a genius.
