I’m against Newspeak in the novel 1984, in which words are eliminated, although I would accept it for colors. We can get by with just a handful, utilizing the modifiers ‘light’ or ‘dark’. We don’t need a word like ‘mauve’, quite frankly.

They should invent a system in which we still get an hour extra in bed, but it isn’t dark at 4:30pm.
