I delved deep into GeoTIFF today. Wrote a script to convert a 32-bit GeoTIFF into 8-bit PNG without losing data. I… think… it works? The next part I want to do is even harder!

This election has really allowed a huge number of tech bros (and they have all been men) to go mask off about their support for Trump. Twitter/X is almost impossible to use now. Either they're actively supporting authoritarianism, or they're cheering it on with no idea of what it means.

There is no easy answer to censorship by intimidation, especially in a country like Turkey that has a hostage-taking law requiring platforms to have local staff. But the mealy-mouthed “some content” from the Public Policy handle is a shameful failure to provide any transparency or accountability.
