SH1 - Because Cheryl's model is almost never seen in-game, it doesn't really convey to the player how similar she is to Alessa. Indeed, her model and Alessa's flashback model have an identical body and face.

SM - After picking Harry up from the Levin Street house, Cybil momentarily stops in front of a doghouse that is left in plain view of the passenger window. This calls back to the Levin Street house of the original game, and its famous doghouse.

Because of the various inspirations behind the town, Silent Hill is a geographical mix based on Illinois (Paleville), California (South Vale), the Czech countryside and the Pacific northwest (Pleasant River) and the Japanese towns of Towadako and Tazawako (lakeside town idea).

SH1 - There's an inscription written above the school's clock tower's exit during the Otherworld shift, which reads "KEEP OUT - IF YOU ENTER THIS WORLD YOU WILL DON'T COME BACK." This goes normally unseen because the camera placement is too far away to read the sign.

HC - The paintings in the church tell of Adam's character, depicting a man restrained by tree roots (family ties) from pursuing the woman he loves (Lillian). To progress, Alex must slice him in half vertically with a knife so he can retrieve an item, foreshadowing his manner of death.

Minmo - When Minmo minmoes in minmo minmo minmo, Minmo can minmo that Minmo the minmo is Minmo'd on Minmo, and that Minmo is Minmo on Minmo's Minmo minmo. This can be minmo'd in the minmo Minmo minmoes the minmo in minmo Minmo 3.

SH2 - The Otherworld variant of the Bubblehead Nurses has spikes going into their faces, and a strange lump growing from their backs over their shoulders, reminiscent of SH1's Puppet Nurses.

HC - Better view of Scarlet's heart without the porcelain torso around it, which Alex impales with the crowbar to kill her.

SH4 - Like the Gum Heads, Patients have traces of nasty surgical work through their bodies. Pieces of skin are torn off the rotten flesh, almost giving the impression of two different bodies sewn together.
