spent a few hours finally playing around with Fil-C w/ Gentoo's portage, resulting in a completely memory safe OpenSSH install. didn't have to customize any ebuilds, though my /filc/etc/portage/make.conf is littered with fixes I still need to crystallize. looking forward to tackling more software~
