I've reached the end of Hades 2. I like what they set up for the "post game" And while some people will find the "ending" annoying. It rather fits with the themes of the first game. So I rather liked it.

I just want to play Hades 2. I know I have work I should do. I have done a surface route and an underworld route (and could not have had more lopsided runs) Won both, but the surface was by the skin of my teeth... and the underworld was overwhelming.

I am not a designer... but a mock up for the alignment tracker for Cape and Cowl. It'll do while I playtest the system more. Story teller sets the characters initial alignment. All characters (player and NPC) can use influence to raise or lower another npc's alignment at the end of each session.

Cape and Cowl balancing update: 1. Made defensive and Movement powers easier by standardizing the cost of the duration of the powers. Having substats purchased at rates that weren't 1 for 1 made it needlessly complicated. 2. Gave a boost based on level to characters number of recoveries.

Like, how am I supposed to write a somewhat fluffy romance novel right now? Other projects are screaming louder. Return by death in particular, as it matches the hopeless/hopeful view of the world right now. The real "grind till we make it to a better day" mentality.

I've had another thought that could turn into a project later down the line... a lot of Alien invasion stories are told almost exclusively from the perspective of military or "specialist" viewpoints. Like, where are the normies? A soccer mom, a janitor, red neck mechanic? Might develop this.

The fact that right-wingers commit the vast bulk of domestic terrorism in the US is well-established by numerous expert investigations & reports. But the right *accuses* the left more often, makes more *noise* about it, so they've bullied reporters into framing this as a "both sides" problem.

I'm just straight up blocking the "Violence is never the answer." crowd. Their stance is so naive I can't help but feel its disingenuous, and in a world where violence is being threatened and inflicted upon peoples I care about. we may need to be violent one day. Even if we'd rather avoid it.

Got to level Rhys/Valen up today. Rolled decent on the die, got 8 health, and opted to go with two points of Dexterity. It was a no brainer as it increased my ac. Accuracy, damage, and init, and my favorite skill (stealth). Next level we multiclass into ranger. I expect to stay in ranger.
