Listening to Dogwalker using a text to voice, and I am enjoying it. Alex is a fucking riot, and I think I wrote a very good side character in him.

A quick reflection: I've never tried to write something that could be called a romance before Dogwalker. I'm sure I've got a lot of bits I need to smooth out as a result, but I have to say I'm pretty happy with the first draft. I tried to keep the romance in the front of my mind as I wrote.

I am told that the dogs are grounded. There was another animal at our fenceline... I'm thinking a fox, but the wife is worried its a coyote. Anyway, Ember playbowed to it. So, Freya joined her in playbowing to it... Nyx growled at it to start with, but seeing both sisters playbow... she joined too.

I think I like the way our reverse outline turned out for our romantasy that Tera and I are writing. Color coded based off our which characters POV it is. Blue for Evan. Red for Riley and the purple is when their narratives fully merge. Don't read if you don't want spoilers. Just admire color coding

It's been a productive morning so far. Bills paid. Paid for a table at an event in April. Whittling down the last 6k or so left on Dogwalker... we're making progress!

I feel better and better about using human editors every time any of these "editing" softwares make suggestions these days. I swear they used to be somewhat helpful, but now they just straight up tell you to cut words to shorten it... but the end result isn't even a fully formed thought.

Finished the final chapter... now off to add in some extra stuff after having discussed the reverse outline!

Lot of people praising the ending to MHA... I found it to be a weak send off for a show I used to be excited about. Lost sight of its original premise, failed to live up to its own foreshadowing, and missed out on some really good ways to tie back to its central theme. Not bad, but weak.

Figuring out the color combos was a bit difficult. Uncommon and Rare Alvec are Blue/White, but his final version is blue/red/white. Illaria was easy. Red/white all versions. Mavec: Blue. Bait: Red/Black Naya: Green/Red Sarbie: White. Hoc: Red/White.

The fake magic set I'm working on is for A Foul Light Shines. Trying to be balanced, while also representing the characters involved is absolutely a challenge. So far I've done three versions of the main cast (uncommon, rare, and mythic) representing their development.

Making fake magic cards is fun. Partially because they are giving me a quick hit of dopamine that I am then transferring into writing.

Second reverse outline finished. We've narrowed in on four scenes we want to add, and we've worked out their placement. So about 8k words left to work out I think. Time to get rolling on that. Maybe I can complete Dogwalkers second draft before the end of next weekend.

Will it cost me far more to earn out if I avoid A.I. Absolutely, but that's a price I'm willing to pay. We stand together against the theft machine that burns the planet. May the bubble pop, and it hallucinate its way to the long sleep.

Almost done with the first draft of Dogwalker. Less than 7k remaining... I reordered how things when with this, so yeah... very very nearly done I think.
