The pattern parser is great. Recently had to do some work on a system that wasn't using Loki for the logs storage, and it made me once again really appreciate how fast Loki is, and how great the pattern parser is.

It makes me chuckle seeing so much space lost to just the filesystem existing... the first personal file server I built at home was made of smaller disks than I am losing just to the filesystem.

I just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why a function call was magically optimized out. Even in debug. It turns out the previous line was a comment, and the end line was \r instead of \r\n (somehow??) and Visual Studio displayed that normally, but MSVC considered it's not an end of line 🤣

Daily Godot Tip #11: Using prints adds a space separator between things added to the print function while printt adds a tab separator. This makes it easier to print out multiple things at the same time without needing to do a bunch of string concatenation #godot #gamedev #godottips

#UnrealEngine upgrading their Horde build systems from 5.4 to 5.5 note the following: When using the CreateArtifact task in BuildGraph it was previously optional to specify the Change and Type parameters. It is no longer the case. Only really an issue if your project is 5.4 and Horde is 5.5.

If you're upgrading Horde for #UnrealEngine 5.5 be sure you do so in a staging environment first. There are a few changes that will easily catch you out if you don't.
