dealing with yet another rush project this week first thing on a friday morning… cool… cool… cool… (I am seething with rage)

i know getting thanked for dropping everything to help on a rush job is like the bare minimum, but it still feels nice to receive it and know that others did actually appreciate it

what a beautiful spring day!!! yard sales, got an iced chai at a comic book cafe, bought new plants for the porch, got new pots for some houseplants that needed repotting, and got the first creemee (soft serve ice cream for non-VT people) of the season!

i must have been deep in thought this morning or something because why did i press the button to close my umbrella when it was still directly over my head and i was in the middle of the parking lot with nothing to shield me from the rain (save for the umbrella i closed on my head)

haley williams tickets secured 😌 (shoutout to my friend who got the tickets for us. we were in queue for two different venues and got in at the same time so we did the better seats/deal)

checked out the little jazz and record bar downtown and the vibes were relaxed and immaculate. also saw the cat that lives in the bar steal a slice of pizza from another customer

my friend commissioned me to make a cross stitch piece for him and now that’s all i want to work on

Update: there were indeed cupcakes. they were bite sized. but there were cupcakes

have an end of day meeting (gross) but i just overheard that we may be getting cupcakes at said meeting and i swear if it’s only a rumor…

my roommate asked me to accompany her to the vet ER tonight for emotional support bc her cat was having problems going to the bathroom (he’s okay!) and we were there for 4 hours only for them to tell us he has anxiety (we already knew that. but it manifested in a way today we had never seen before)

red velvet chocolate chip cookies that i made over the weekend! would make again - although with maybe some sort of cream cheese frosting addition because it felt like that was missing

well, after i thought she was going to be lost forever after no updates in 2 weeks and then i just got a refund for her earlier this week, she arrived today safe and sound

the way i reached out about a package still not being delivered 2 weeks past the expected date on monday and so the company issued a refund, only for me to then get an email from fedex just now saying my package is out for delivery (after tracking hadn’t updated since march 18th)

yeah so i’m no longer receiving her. hadn’t received a shipping update since march 18th and couldn’t get hold of fedex so i had to contact the seller and they had to issue a refund because of how long it’s been (package likely lost) and the plush is out of stuck so i can’t get a replacement

the post concert feeling is amazing but also awful because wow i had so much fun and that was an amazing time but also what do i do with my life now that it’s over

had a great idea for a sewing project yesterday and all I want to do is work on that but instead I have to do my actual adult job bleh

woke up to our fuel tank for heating the apartment being empty again. yay (not)

the way so many people at work manage to spell my name wrong when my name is spelled out for them right there when they are responding to me

it’s a little awkward when my landlord has to come by to look at/work on something bc any time he has to step into my room i just know he’s seeing my small army of stuffed animals on my bed and on top of my closets

had to put a pause on her to get different glue because the glue that came with it did NOT work but i finished it today and it’s so cute!

used some of my bonus today to buy myself some fresh pastries at the farmers market, books from my local bookstore, and this wooden book nook kit from my local toy store. i’ve never done one of them before but i’ve done some of the wooden flower kits and enjoyed them so i’m excited for this one!
